UK landline numbers (01 / 02 / 03 / 08) don't receive SMS at the network level, so if SMS is part of the plan, pair a mobile number with your VoIP extensions. Plus WhatsApp Business on any Giant number, browser-based video, group paging, and — because some sectors still insist — cloud fax.

    WhatsApp Business on any Giant number

    Any UK number we issue — VoiceCloud DDI, Virtual Landline, mobile, 03/08 — can be registered with WhatsApp Business. Voice verification works over the landline (WhatsApp's 'call me' route), so it's live in 5 minutes. Runs in the WhatsApp Business app on your device; your Giant number stays your voice line.

    Business SMS — in, out, and to the whole team

    On a Giant mobile number, customers text you like they'd text a mobile. Inbound SMS lands in the VoiceCloud portal, the desktop / mobile app, and — per number — as an email notification to whoever monitors the line. Fan each inbound out to multiple extensions at once so reception AND the duty manager both see it. Reply from any surface; the thread stays whole against the customer's contact record. Landline SMS is one-way outbound only where supported; two-way needs a mobile.

    SMS → your CRM via REST API

    Every inbound SMS on a Giant mobile number fires a webhook to a URL you configure, and the full message history is available via our REST API. Push customer texts straight into HubSpot / Salesforce / Zendesk / your own tooling so they sit alongside the voice-call log for that contact. Outbound SMS is API-triggerable too — fire appointment reminders, payment links or 'ready to collect' messages from your CRM automations, not just from a person tapping a keyboard.

    Bring your business mobile across on its existing number: request a PAC code from your current provider, drop it into portal.giant.net.uk, pick your cutover date.
