A single SLA-backed symmetric leased line into the comms room, sized for full occupancy — not a domestic circuit stretched across 40 rooms. Same install we run for build-to-rent blocks.
Wi-Fi in every room + the public areas
Ubiquiti UniFi APs on ethernet backhaul, per-floor coverage design from an RF survey, and a hosted controller we manage. Bar, lobby, function rooms and lifts included in the heat-map — the places guests actually complain about.
A handset in every room
A VoiceCloud extension per room, a front-desk console for reception, room-to-room intercom, and group paging to housekeeping. Runs over the same line — no separate phone circuit, no PSTN switch-off problem in 2027.

Same portal, same hardware — the difference is what happens after the guest signs in. Most properties end up running the middle one: a free tier that keeps the reviews clean, and a paid upgrade for the guests who'd rather pay than complain.

Everyone gets a usable free tier. Guests who want more speed — or a second and third device — buy an upgrade by the hour, day or week. Stripe takes the payment straight into your account; we just pass the auth back to the network.

Your PMS decides. Premium is £4.99/day for a walk-in on the base rate, and free for anyone booked on Gold or above — the portal reads the reservation on sign-in and applies the right tier automatically.

Room number and surname.
That's the whole sign-in.
The portal asks your property management system whether there's a live reservation behind that room. If there is, the guest is online for the length of the stay and cut at checkout — automatically. No vouchers printed at 2am, no reception desk handing out a code that half the building already knows.
Running something else? The portal also exposes a REST API and generic webhooks, so a PMS we haven't named can usually be wired up — bring it to the survey and we'll scope it honestly rather than promise it blind.

VoiceCloud is a full cloud phone system, so the room handsets, the front desk and the duty manager's mobile are all the same platform — one portal, one bill, one number range.
Extension per room
Every room its own extension, dialable from reception and from any other room. Add or move an extension from the portal — no engineer, no re-patch.
Front-desk console
Reception sees the whole building on one screen: who's calling, which room, transfer in a click. Overflow rings the duty manager's mobile through the same app.
Paging + intercom
Group-page housekeeping or maintenance across every handset at once. Room-to-room intercom for guests, or a direct line to the restaurant and spa.
Hot-desking for staff
Housekeeping supervisors and duty managers log into whichever handset they're near and their extension follows them. Same login on the mobile app off-site.
Recorded where it matters
Reservations and complaint lines recorded and transcribed, with AI summaries on the call card. Guest room phones left out of the recording policy by default.
No PSTN dependency
It's SIP over your own line, so the 2027 PSTN switch-off is a non-event. Existing DDIs port in; the switchboard number on your signage doesn't change.
What it isn't: a dedicated hotel PBX
VoiceCloud does not automate wake-up calls, and it does not post call charges back to the PMS folio — the two things a purpose-built hotel switch does that a business phone system doesn't. Everything else on this page it does properly. If those two are deal-breakers for your operation, say so at the survey and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right fit rather than find out on install day.

What a property your size actually needs.
Indicative only — the survey is what sets the real number, because construction type moves AP count more than room count does. Solid Victorian walls and a listed façade cost more APs than a 2019 new-build with the same bed count.
