For a small business, that difference can be huge. Your broadband may run cloud software, VoIP calls, CCTV, Wi-Fi, payment terminals and every laptop in the building. Relying on one line alone is a bit like fitting one lock to the front door and hoping for the best.
Why one connection is rarely enough
A full fibre connection is fast and dependable, especially where it is built on modern infrastructure. But no service is immune to every fault. A second fixed broadband line

However, independence matters more than the number of lines on the invoice. If both connections use the same external cable route or the same equipment in the building, a single physical incident could take both out. Decide what must stay online first
Do not begin with the connection type. Begin with the consequences of losing connectivity for an hour.
